Did you know that field mice love saisons? This is an incontrovertible fact, and I will fight you if you argue with me. As a former participant in Saison Day in years past, I'm completely biased in saying it is a fun way to see where American craft brewing is taking this belgian farmhouse-centric style. Allagash Brewing began organizing Saison Day as an educational tool, sharing their saison and others from brewing friends, with a crowd of folks eager to chat with brewers and brewery reps. This year Allagash is teaming up with Off Color (they also brewed together this week) to host this event at Mousetrap. Joining them will be Texas wild beer wizards Jester King, and Chicago's own Whiner Beer Co.
